Our Concept
The CCB coordinates two major research programs on Glioblastoma Multi Forme (GBM, a devasting brain tumor with no promising cure yet) supported by BMBF and ERA-NET.
In this network, we, a group of labs, apply our interdisciplinary expertise in cilia biology, brain organoid research, computations, and high-resolution imaging to decode the targetable mechanisms that can impair GBM growth and invasions.

Glioma invasion assays as a predictive tool for personalised glioma medicine

- New initiative "Glio-Org". The lab received a BMBF VIP plus innovation award to develop "Personalized glioma invasion assays in human brain organoids" with the hope that one day, we will discover drugs that can stop the glioma stem cell invasions in patients' brain. The consortium is named as "Glio-Org". Soon more details.
